Ocean Engineering Programs and Majors

In an age when humankind is exploring the depths of space, so much of our home planet is still uncharted. Ocean engineers are concerned with creating more reliable, more efficient, safer ways of exploring the major oceans and seas around the world. In the darkest reaches of the abyss, there are many undiscovered secrets that, if harnessed correctly, could help solve many of the mysteries of life.		A typical ocean engineering program will expose you to marine science, biology, chemistry, physics, natural science, environmental science, and zoology. Because most of the ocean is relatively unknown, there is obviously plenty of room for freedom and creativity in this quickly growing field. Not to mention that there are numerous career opportunities for dedicated and qualified ocean engineers out there.
